Birdwatching Workshops

Explore nature through a guided walk

Here in Australia, we’re incredibly lucky. It’s difficult to avoid nature of any kind. That means that we’re likely to run into wildlife of some description at almost any moment. Whether that’s sitting in our lounge rooms, travelling to work, gardening, or playing at the park. There is wildlife & nature all around us. However, that can lead to a plethora of questions…

What’s that small brown bird in my backyard? What’s that bird waking me up at 5am? Where can I see a Fairy Wren? What does a Honeyeater eat? How do I find a Tawny Frogmouth? What birds are in my local park? Where can I find birds in Melbourne? What’s the best camera for bird photography?

Whether these are the kinds of questions you’ve got, or maybe you have a hundred others, it sounds like one of Life Gone Wild’s guided birdwatching workshops are just the ticket for you! Over three and a half hours, join one of our expert guides who will take you around one of our favourite locations for birding in Melbourne and find all that they possible can. All the while, they’ll answer any questions you might have (and maybe even some you hadn’t thought of yet), provide you with in the field experience with different techniques, and talk you through recognising bird calls.  They’ll even teach you how to use a guidebook, how to pick out a pair of binoculars, and plenty of tips and tricks to make bird identification that little bit easier!

These tours are perfect for those that want to take the next step on their wildlife watching journey (whether that’s a first step or a tenth).

So get out there, and get wild! You never know what you might find!
